Hurricane Electric Offers Support to Web SIG
Fremont, California - September 11, 2006 - Hurricane Electric, a leading Internet Backbone and Colocation Provider, announced today that it is sponsoring a new Silicon Valley based technology users group called Web SIG.

Web SIG is a new Internet centric users group that focuses on the latest web technology, design, and trends. Its platform promotes open discussions on technology and provides a friendly environment where friends and professionals can gather to exchange technical information. Web SIG was founded by the original executive board members of Silicon Valley Webguild, a former local chapter of the Association of Internet Professionals (AIP) and the oldest and largest web organization in the bay area.

"We are very excited about the opportunity to lead a users group that brings the fun and joy to the latest web technology and design. We feel very fortunate to have the support of Hurricane Electric as well as our speakers and volunteers. With their support our vision is being realized," said Bess Ho, Chair and Founder of Web SIG.

The first Web SIG meeting will take place on October 25, 2006 at Hurricane Electric's new colocation facility, located at 48233 Warm Springs Blvd. Fremont, CA, with future meetings planned for the last Wednesday of every month. Web SIG membership is free of charge, as are all meetings.

"By sponsoring Web SIG, we are helping them keep the Internet community on the forefront of technology. With an objective to continue education and foster industry development via collaboration with industry leaders, we are happy to offer Web SIG our support," said Benny Ng, Director of Marketing.
